Identifying and Dating Historic Everyday Textiles
TAUGHT BY: Rabbit Goody
Workshop Fee: $250.00
How do we know what we know about woven fabrics and the weavers who wove them? This workshop will teach you how to look at and evaluate flat woven textiles from the 18th and 19th century. Microscopic analysis of fibers, yarn types, weave structures and who was weaving what and when will be explored. Link for more information.

May 10 Friday — workshop 9-4pm (1 hour off for lunch each day)

May 12, Sunday (Mother’s Day) — workshop 9-4pm
Workshop students are encouraged to attend the guild-wide lecture the night before the workshop as it is a good introduction to the artist Frida Hansen and her methods.
